Unblockr now has an Android app for DNS and VPN which can be found within Playstore and also amazon store. No need to adjust network connections.
Before you get started....
To use Unblockr, you have to change the DNS address of your computer or mobile/multimedia device.
Be sure to make a note of the current server addresses or settings. Keep these numbers for backup purposes in case you need to revert to them.

Each android device differs slightly in menu layout but the key changes you need to make are below, before you start you need to find out a few details from your device as follows
Find router IP and Gateway on Android devices
install "ipconfig" application from google playstore by searching for ipconifg, or from this link
https://apkpure.com/ipconfig/com.bergin_it.ipconfig
After starting, the application shows the following information:
Device IP-address assigned by DHCP server
Subnet IP address mask
Default gateway IP-address
DHCP server IP-address
IP addresses of the DNS servers
Lease duration of the assigned IP address
MAC address of the network interface
Write all these above details down and then move into changing the DNS servers on your device to use Unblockr
First of all, Navigate to Settings > Wi-Fi or wired connection from your Android device or tab.
Now, Press and hold or press alternate remote button on the wi-fi zone name (or wired connection name) that you use regularly. Then choose Modify network.
Now, You will see a few more options there. Scroll down and check Advanced Options. It will bring two more settings.
Then, click on DHCP and choose Static, If your IP Settings is not already set to static.
Even if elements of these field self populate you will still need to manually type the details into each field or you won't be able to click save at the end of the page
Now, Scroll down and find DNS 1 and DNS 2. Here, You can set any DNS server addresses from the list of Unblockr ones below depending on where you live or closest to
American DNS Servers:
Primary : 138.68.29.183
Secondary: 159.203.58.150
UK DNS Servers:
Primary: 178.62.57.141
Secondary: 139.162.231.18
CANADA DNS Servers:
Primary: 159.203.58.150
Secondary: 138.68.29.183
Germany DNS1 = 68.183.215.9
Germany DNS2 = 161.35.23.59
After doing everything correctly, Tap on SAVE.

How to install the Unblockr Addon
Android 4.0+ (ICS / Ice Cream Sandwich) Instructions
- Go to Settings
- Go to WiFi (click on word “WiFi”, not ON/OFF switch)
- Press and hold preferred (or active) wireless network until dialog pops up
- Select Modify Network
- Check Show advanced options checkbox at the bottom
- Switch IP settings to Static
- Keep IP address, Gateway and Network prefix length the same (should be set from standard DHCP)
- Set DNS 1 and DNS 2 fields as per below for UK users, for non UK users see alternates
Primary: 178.62.57.141
Secondary: 139.162.231.18
American DNS Servers:
Primary : 138.68.29.183
Secondary: 159.203.58.150
CANADA DNS Servers:
Primary: 159.203.58.150
Secondary: 138.68.29.183
- Click Save
- Restart your device.
Wired Connection? The same instructions above apply but here they are again:
- Go to Settings
- Select System
- Select Network (wired)
- Select Configure Network
- Enter a valid IP from your home network. Find the IP of your router in the guide above.
- Set prefix length to 24. Press Next.
- Set gateway to the router IP (You can find the correct gateway by following the guide above). Press Next.
- Set DNS1 to 178.62.57.141
- Set DNS2 to 139.162.231.18
American DNS Servers:

Android 2.3 Instructions
- Open Settings
- Go to Wireless and Network settings
- Then Wi-Fi settings
- Menu > Advanced
- Use static IP
- Copy current IP address (few lines above) to IP address field
- Set Gateway as router IP (usually the same as current IP except last number is .1, i.e. if your phone IP 192.168.2.130 then router’s likely 192.168.2.1)
- Set Netmask 255.255.255.0 (sometimes it’s different, but you should already know what to do if it is)
- Set DNS 1 and DNS 2 fields as per below
Primary: 178.62.57.141
Secondary: 139.162.231.18 American DNS Servers:
Primary : 138.68.29.183
Secondary: 159.203.58.150
CANADA DNS Servers:
Primary: 159.203.58.150
Secondary: 138.68.29.183
- Menu > “Save”
- Restart your device.
ANDROID 9
Android Pie supports Private DNS, If your device runs Android 9, this is the recommended method to set up because unlike previous versions of Android, it does not need to be configured for each new WiFi network.
Step 1: Go to Settings → Network & internet → Advanced → Private DNS.
Step 2: Select the Private DNS provider hostname option.
Step 3: Enter your county's DNS (example 178.62.57.141).
Step 4: Select Save.
